Instead of paying your cable or TV provider each month, you can save big money every month by choosing bundled streaming services and a an add-on TV antenna.
How much can you save?
Your entertainment cost could be $0 after investing in an over-the-air antenna if you usually watch network broadcast shows — ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and FOX. Those networks broadcast free of charge in HDTV all the time. That’s right! These channels are free in most areas. You can check your local OTA network availability at the FCC Digital Reception Maps website. If your area shows networks in green, you’re good to go with just an HDTV antenna.
If you’re addicted to cable news — CNN and FOX News — or you want premium options, there are more choices than ever before and you’re still going to save a lot of money over traditional cable.
If you haven’t used a streaming service yet — Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Roku — there are some basic requirements. Make sure your internet connection is fast enough. You can check requirements on our Basic Guide to Streaming.
